Caspian Healthcare Foundation was created in 2023 to do the part of diabetes and obesity care that nobody pays for: finding the disease early in people who cannot afford to look for it, and teaching, in public and to doctors, what to do next.
Our purpose
Mission
To empower communities through accessible medical services, health education and charitable support, without discrimination of caste, creed, religion or sex.
That sentence is taken from our trust deed, and it decides the work. We do not run a parallel clinic for the well off. We go where the testing has not reached, we publish what things cost, and we say plainly when we do not know something.

Who is responsible
Trustees
Trustees hold honorary office. None of them draws a salary, fee or commission from the trust.
Dr Khizer Hussain Junaidy
Managing Trustee
Diabetologist and Bariatric Physician, MD Pharmacology. Telangana State Medical Council registration 04937. He leads the Foundation's screening, education and physician training work.
Jaweed Hussain Junaidy
Settlor and Trustee
He settled the trust in February 2023 and serves as one of its three first trustees.

How we govern ourselves
Governance
Board and meetings
The board meets quarterly. The Managing Trustee is authorised under the deed to sign documents and agreements on behalf of the board. Bank operation requires the authorisation set out in the deed.
Accounts and audit
The Foundation's accounts are audited annually and its returns are filed with the Income Tax Department. Activities that are ancillary to the charitable objects are accounted for separately.
Use of income
Income is applied solely to the objects of the trust. No part of it is distributed to trustees, and no trustee receives remuneration for holding office.
Independence from industry
Companies may fund a programme. No funder decides what our doctors teach, which treatment is recommended, or what a screening report says. Where a programme has a sponsor, we name the sponsor.

How the Foundation relates to Caspian Healthcare
Caspian Healthcare Foundation is a charitable trust and is a separate legal entity from the Caspian Healthcare clinic and its group company. They share a founder and, at times, premises and clinical volunteers.
Donations to the Foundation fund charitable work only. They do not pay for anybody's treatment at commercial rates, and they are not income of the clinic.
